Neal Stephenson is a legend of 'Smart Sci-Fi.' This is his new Historical Fiction series set in the dawn of the atomic age (1930s Soviet Union/USA). It is dense with physics, politics, and spying. At 12 hours, it's not an incredibly 'long listen' but it is the first instalment in a trilogy of books that could catapult it into 'epic' territory. As a reader who enjoys the thrill of leaning into the odd conspiracy, this should be a fascinating listen given current fringe discussions about science suppression, quantum physics and free energy.
